Always interested in obtaining old cannabis recipes (pre 1940′s). Typically the best ones are from India like Bhang & Majun (also spelled Majoom, Majoon, Majum) Majun also goes by the name Alwa and Halva. Many books briefly mention old cannabis recipes, but rarely go into enough detail to actually make them.

  1. Thanks for the reference. Unfortunately, the O’Shaughnessy recipes that Gottlieb quotes from are vague and little rings true from my experience. Looking for something more accurate like the 1910 edition of the Therapeutic Gazette by Dr. Ball, entitled, “The Effects of Hashish Not Do To Cannabis Indica” (describes formula for Bhang as used in Mysore, India).
